The wait is over and Engadget has posted some interesting information and images of the Windows 7 Series Phone. (Hands of Impressions). I think they are finally on the right track with this update. Only time will tell is others feel the same.

I like the screen transitions. This looks like a really smooth phone. I do not know if it can outshine the droid though.

The hardware looks very Droid influenced.

^^ It does and the OS update gives off the same impression. (an after thought based on what's popular now). I will hold off tho till I can touch one and see just how it works.

Looks good, but is anyone disappointed by the name they chose? Seems like the most successful products have great names - sound good and are fun to say: Blackberry, iPod, iPhone, Android, etc.

    Windows Phone 7 Series ???

    Oh well. Just my opinion...

That's a good point. Say that name 10x.

    It is odd.

It has me scratching my head. I mean companies KNOW that picking a good product name is important. They spend significant research money investigating and there are even consultants that specialize in picking names. So during that whole process, no one mentioned that "Windows Phone 7 Series" sounds odd??
