How to: Update DST (Daylight Savings Time by OTA (Over-The-Air) Install (Shortcut Versoin)

Email this link to your Blackberry device.

NOTE: This will work only if RIM keep this link live!~

Requirements for this Upgrade
• Blackberry (all models)
• Internet access from your device

1 - From the Home screen, go to Messages and open your email with the link provided above.
2 - Highlight the Blackberry DST link http://www.blackberry.com/DST2007/pa...otapatcher.jad, and press the track wheel,
3 - Select Get Link, and press the track wheel.
4 - Highlight the Download button, and press the track wheel.
You will see 'Downloading net_rim_bb_timezoneotapatcher, this will take 15 to 25 seconds.
5 - Then you will see another message The application was successfully installed, highlight Ok, and press the track wheel.
6 - Wait 30 seconds to 1 minute, and you will see a message 'Time zone information has been updated. Reset device now? (1of4)', highlight Ok or Yes, and press the track wheel.

This reset can take 15 to 30 minutes. During this time, you will not be able to send / receive emails or make phone calls.

When the installation is completed, the Blackberry will return to the Home screen.

I completed the patch install and it shows that it is in there but my home screen time hasn't changed. Now when I go into options it shows the correct time, and when I receive emails and phone calls it shows the correct time. The only issue is with the home screen. Any ideas of what that could be?

most likely the incorrect time zone.
or you have it set to the wrong time source

options>date time
that shouls be the answer!

For some reason you have to change the date/time source to blackberry and then change it back to network and it fixed the problem.

Any way to get the DST patch that is not OTA? I don't have a BB pan
