    Deleting Files on OS 4.6

Using devices such as the 8220 or the bold there are easier ways to delete applications from your device. Read Below:

There is a really nice feature about the 8220 (running on OS4.6.0.151). It can delete applications right off of the home screen. This makes it much easier for consumers to use and understand their device. Instead of having to search through options and find applications and delete them, they can highlight the application press menu and they can delete the application(if they don’t want to delete they can move it to another location in that folder or even move it to another folder all together).Follow the following steps below:
    1. Locate the application
    2. press menu and select delete
    3. confirm the deletion of the application.
After the application is deleted your device may ask you to restart to clear all other modules off the device you can do so or decline and choose another time to restart your device

    ENJOY!!!

Wow....I'm feeling kind of shorted because I never noticed that on my BOLD. I'm guessing 4.6 is the first OS to have this option available? Good looking out

I use it all the time. You would be surprised how many applications out there are totally useless

    elenung,

If you are using the 8220 I would not suggest removing either of the 2 themes that come pre-installed (and normally that would require altering alx install files).

You might look at the IM programs that come pre-installed. I personaly do not load the demo media that comes with the OS.

Actually Calm Tigers reply is correct. You are primarily looking at 3rd party applications that either came pre-installed or that you may have added and no longer want.

Other items, such as extra languages would require app loader to remove.

as gary stated above, if you remove the two default themes from your device, other custom themes will not work. at all.
