I like the hype, especially when there is something to get hyped over. My "hype" is for Android 2.0. I'm not a slider person, it's too high maintenance for me when I consider how many times each day I mount (pull out) and dismount (put away) my phone. I would end up sliding more than anything.

I'm excited for 2.0! Google just released a new video showing more features.

Its worth the hype because its Android. Still going to resist the temptation though. I read the Sony X3 is coming sooner than expected.

From that vid, I like the fact the developers can create a single version of an app for any size screen. Thus, dealing nicely with what will be a crowd of Android devices to choose from!

Also, like the real-time access to contacts and syncing, something I touched on a few weeks ago as a must for smartphones. Remote search-able access to 1000's of business contacts (including anyone you've ever received or sent email to) without having to add them to your device address book. For me, I have only friends and family in my address book. But when on the road I can search 1000's of email contacts just by typing the first letter and onward of their first/last names or email address and it sorts matching results by most used... and its FREE, not part of some plan but part of a solution. The future of smartphones look great as Google and others continue to raise the bar.

It would be nice to get an android on Att. I have always been excited about the android software, but I can't say the hardware does the same.

"I played with the iPhone browser and Android browser and found NO difference between them.
Period. I also hate dealing with iTunes so Pandora and Android are my friends. Mp3s are so 90’s." <---so true

Good read. That video only shows the boot up screen. Found a nice unboxing video from Phone Scoop.

Nice videos. Google is really going all out. I'm going to pass on the Droid, but definitely a solid contender for Verizon. X3 is in my sights.
