| Sony Ericsson Debuts Xperia X10 In the press release, Sony Ericsson says, "Building on Sony Ericsson’s entertainment heritage and combining rich graphics with intelligence capabilities, the XPERIA™ X10 introduces a new UX platform that will evolve across the product portfolio and expand over time continuously introducing new features and capabilities. The XPERIA™ X10 is the first mobile phone to truly humanise the way people interact with their phones." To give them credit, the display does look absolutely gorgeous and utilizing the Android OS should deliver a great user experience. The device will feature:
The device will be available in select markets in Q1 of 2010 and supports the following bands: UMTS HSPA 900/1700/2100 GSM GPRS/EDGE 850/900/1800/1900 UMTS HSPA 800/1900/2100 GSM GPRS/EDGE 850/900/1800/1900 So CDMA users are a bit out of luck at the moment. No price has been set yet, or carrier confirmed, but this will make SE the third major handset maker to adopt the new OS from Google. A promo video from SE is featured below. This is the one I've been waiting for. Q1 is too vague. I think Not having this ready for x-mas is a huge mistake. The others should take notes from Verizon and their bold yet brilliant marketing strategy of attacking the iphone to steal a lot of attention right before the holidays. The Droid is solid, but it seems they were content to just beat the iphone, instead of crushing it like this phone does. The Spec sheet is amazing on this thing.

I agree on the timing also. On the other hand could it be that they (whoever that is) don't want Android to kill off each other by releasing them so close together? The phone looks fantastic. Last edited by srl7741; 11-03-2009 at 02:58 PM. |

Now that's a great phone. I almost got a Hero but read reviews and decided to wait for more to come to Sprint. I guess I'll hang on to my BB8130 a little longer.

Looks like sony is trying to comeback hard... I love the phone, Tmo need to put some pedal to the metal with this one. Not one is interested in the behold 2 or mytouch, scrap it already, and give us what we crave i.e HTC HD2 |
