Preview Video: Flash 10.1 on the Nexus One

Many people are excited about real Flash on smartphones, others think it will just be a battery killing waste of time. Adobe has released a video of the Nexus One running a beta of Flash 10.1 that will wive you an idea of what to expect. So what do you think? Are you looking forward to Flash on your phone or are you wondering what the hype is all about. Does this video change your mind either way? Me, I'm excited about it

I like what I see! I think it will be great to have that on a phone!

Since the OP mentioned battery life (something I hadn't thought about) I did find it interesting that is battery level was yellow during the demo video.

Haha yeah, and once it hits that yellow you don't have much time left, it goes quick on my Moto Droid, I imagine that faster processor and those Flash sites would kill it real quick once it hits the yellow zone. Such a hard thing to give people the slimmer designs they want and still pack it with a battery powerful enough to make it last at least 16 hours of heavy use....

LMAO!! I noticed that too. I dont want to sacrifice any battery for it and I hope they dont rush it!

Nice but not interested unless there is a Ad Blocker or No Ads associated with it. I'm so tired of Ad based everything we allegedly own.

It's getting a little late for Flash.

Haha you and I are so opposite on ads, I rarely notice them and never click them, they just don't bother me. But I hope we have the option to have flash enabled as we wish. I would love to have flash on sites like my local news abc15.com and be able to watch videos and see the flash slideshows of top stories. I'm certainly not excited about flash dog food ads LOL.

    I realize it's futile (Ads).

This a a neat feature and, as already indicated by several, it'll be a battle between having some reserve power and using the flash feature. While we're wishing, let's wish for a breakthrough in battery technology that can give the user the power to enjoy all the new battery-draining features that otherwise are so great. Thanks for the report, AZ!
