To G1 owners.

They've got the RC33 file for manual upgrade. This only applies to people who haven't obtained root on there device.

Download the file from here.

Rename the .zip file to update.

Put the update.zip file in the main folder on your SD card.

Turn off the phone.

Hold home, and power button, until your phone boots into the boot loader screen.

Press Alt+L, and then Alt+S.

Let it do it's thing, and good luck!

Besides this OS update for T-Mobiles G1, there will be several others along with a host of new Android handsets from the major players in the industry. 2009 promises to be a very exciting year for the Android Platform.

The update has been received OTA by my phone. Its got my G1 actually running smoother! Seems like everything is more polished, and with more to come soon?!?! This is very exciting!

if that dont work download astro file manager from the market place and you will see the file update.zip was renamed to update.zip.zip just rename it back to update.zip and your good to go
