Google Introduces Free GPS Navigation for Android 2.0

The first device to carry Google Maps Navigation for Android 2.0 will be the Motorola Droid. The initial device will launch on November 6th. What i find most interesting is Google will also be releasing Google Maps Navigation for the iPhone also (FREE).

I never thought I would be so tempted by another device as this one. This android 2.0 really looks amazing and the hardware is growing on me also. I may just jump ship for this device... oh these decisions are so hard.

I'm sure somehow it will be Ad based but I'm still glad to see the Maps feature. I didn't see this one coming. It only makes sense looking back.

    I can't wait for it's release.

I'm hoping they allow for online pre-orders earlier than Nov 6th, but I doubt it.

I'm glad I did as well. Since I pre-ordered the G1 Android has, seemingly everyday, offered me something new. Add this new maps to a very long list!

You can load amAze gps on your 8900. It's been out for a while now. voice activated as well. But I do agree with you. Google's making all these fat corporate bastards look like money hungry chumps making our devices more and more user friendly and defined. Google 1 all carriers out there (a big o' fat zero)

Free GPS is a well-deserved slap in the face to carriers like Verizon, etc. who charge for every feature they can, even those that are already on the device and are blocked by the carrier until you PAY! Google Droid!

You and me both, Roger, and Verizon relaxes a little. They're the best choice of carrier I have here in Arkieville.
