Apple Releases iPhone OS 3.0.1 to Address SMS Security Vulnerability

Apple today released iPhone OS 3.0.1, addressing an SMS security vulnerability The release of iPhone OS 3.0.1 has been expected since a spokesperson for UK iPhone carrier O2 claimed earlier today that a fix for the issue would be coming from Apple on Saturday.

Apple has also posted a security document describing the issue.

For those who were wondering if this update would undo their Jailbreak, the folks over at BGR just reported it will NOT undo it as this version is exactly like 3.0, except that it contains the SMS fix. Article here.
