CNET: Over the last few months rumors have continued to swirl around a possible Verizon-Apple deal to bring the iPhone to Verizon once Apple's exclusive pact with AT&T expires in 2010. But Tuesday BusinessWeek added a new twist to the rumor, reporting that Verizon and Apple are in talks to develop two new wireless devices that may hit the market this year.

Can't wait to see. I don't buy that image being used BUT you never know? Looks like Leopard and it's neat to think about all the possibilities.

    Thanks for posting that.

The more I keep reading the more excited I get about the switch I have to make to Verizon when the full re branding of Alltel is complete. It seems to me Apple and others are quickly realizing that with the acquisition of Alltel, Verizon is the largest provider in the US and are fighting for position.

The design of product looks awesome. Can't wait to see when it is launched.
It is also will be interesting to see the plan that Verizon have to offer to compete with AT&T iphone lovers.

OMGoodness!!!! If that's what I think it is. I think it's just about time RIM gives up in trying to compete with Apple because they seriously can't rely on "push email" to save them over and over again. Time to rethink everything RIM or just retire as a whole.

    Another Possibility

I think this will be a better bet than the one posted in the first post.

    9to5

It just seems more Apple-like to me as an Apple user.

But apple went out public with news that they don't plan, nor will they in the near future, release/design any "netbook". Their reason: "crappy laptops -- not our style."

That's more or less is the quote from the spokes person.

While true look back even further and you will also see they said the same things about a phone and now there is the iPhone.

I think that is a good standard, safe political response in an attempt to protect what they have slated for release.

Actually I feel like IF they do release something new it will bypass the Netbook marketing tag and try to fit some other catagory. Call it their answer to a Netbook but it's not a Netbook persay.
