Cannot believe I'm just stumbling accross this thread! Very nice.

I do have a question though. What about applications that require more than one module? do they also require more than one ALX file?

An example of this would be Plazmics Meteor Crusher that Rim Gives out for Free...
Under view properties the following modules are listed and I have saved a COD file for each
    com_plazmic_games_meteorcrusher
    com_plazmic_games_meteorcrusher_graphics_resources _320x240
    com_plazmic_gmaes_meteorcrusher_sounds_resources_S NMIDI_WAV

Should I make an ALX file for each, or simply list all of these modules under <files> in a single ALX file.

A similar yet different example would be a PacMan game I found on GetJar
Pacman has two seperate files listed in the "Applications" window each with its own module.
    The first is Pacman
The second "gameboards" is indented under Pacman
Would these each require their own ALX file?

    Thanks!
    JC

You can save multiple .cod files from a single module. just make sure you follow the exact file name. Now... you are asking if you need to make alx's for each cod... if you are using the BB desktop manager then I would say yes. Everything should be fine. If you are just using the javaloader to put the .cod back on your BB, then no alx's are needed. Hope this helped.

Instead of -usb erase use -usb erase -f. It will delete the module when it is in use

I know I'm just beeing a brat, but still...
This dude is getting all the credit for a technique I came up with. If he searched this site when he looked over the whole internet he would have seen my post.I just want credit given where credit is due.I came up with this technique and gave it to the pinstack family back in December.

Somebody read my post and tell me if I'm wrong (Or if I'm right)

Ok, I'm done, sorry for being a brat.

Well, somehow I never saw your post....or if I did, the pictures posted on this thread just helped me understand it better. There are many things posted more than once here on Pinstack.......Sometimes they click...and other times they don't. Sometimes it's just a matter of wording.

Kudos to you though for figuring this out(it's way beyond me )......maybe the OP here figured it out too....or maybe they saw it somewhere(maybe yours, maybe elsewhere) and posted a tutorial, only he knows. I'm just glad I found it somewhere!!! So, if this did come from your work...thanks!!! Thanks to you both because now I get it and can save my OTA apps and themes.

I tried sending Rhokk a PM about the pics but he never answered, he must have changed his photo hosting but has not updated here

Shortcut for the java runner is also no longer found. Unfortunately without the pictures and shortcut, I'm getting nowhere.

    Try following Justin's directions here

I did better figuring it out with the pics on this thread but give Justin's tutorial a try.....hopefully Rhokk will re-host his stuff at some point, or maybe Justin will add some pics to his for those of us that are visually oriented and just need the pics to "get it" like me
