TeleNav has just launched a pretty slick looking GPS app with turn by turn voice directions.

You can select how you want to be billed.
The first 30 days are free, then you are AUTOMATICALLY billed $10 each month thereafter, or $99 for one year, or $249 for four years.

Great find thanks! I use this all the time on my Curve and will have to add it to my Storm. That way I won't need to carry the BT puck!

Way better. I have been using it on my 8330 with the BT puck and never got lost. It always has spot on traffic info and up to date maps.

Now that I have the Storm and GPS access, it feels just like a touch screen GPS unit.

    hmm...

Hopefully someone will be inclined to do an in-depth, feature by feature comparison of TeleNav vs VZNavigator.

    Anyone?

Come on! $250 Might as well but a seperate hand held!

probably a nice app but for the price it is hard to beat garmin. I have been using garmin for 2 weeks and have had zero problems and found every address.

^^ It is $10/mo and is transferable between BB's. I called a while back and had my subscription changed from my personal BB to my work BB. Now I am going to have it switched back.

And as far as buying a GPS unit for the same price, when you figure in everything this does and the constant updated maps it is cheaper since I get a new BB every year. If I got a new GPS every year I would go broke. Not to mention the GPS units don't do spoken street names unless you buy the expensive ones.

A head to head comparison between TeleNav, Garmin, and VZNav would be sweet!

I really like how the TeleNav shows you the green status bar for the upcoming turn.

I would be really cool if there were voice pack upgrades you could do as well.

Telenav GPS shows up on Blackberry Storm with futuristic features

    Dvice:
Even if you're not too crazy about the Blackberry Storm smartphone, you might like it a bit better with a full-fledged GPS system on board. This one by GPS ace Telenav takes advantage of the Blackberry's connectivity with live traffic updates, and like the now-defunct Dash Express, lets you enter your destination addresses online before you get in your car. We think all GPS units should have this capability, naming it one of the nine car technologies that could save Detroit.

I like a program that does what it says it'll do, and TeleNav fits the bill. Wish they'd to to a one time fee! Thanks for the update Hayden. Very much appreciated
