Yes, I have the device OS on my PC.
The folder I do have are, AppLoader, BBBI Drivers, Modem Drivers, RIMDeviceManager, USB Drivers
    No shared folder.

If you don't have the shared folder, you haven't installed the device software package on your PC. The device software is not the same thing as Desktop Manager. Additionally you must execute the downloade file to install it.

I was having this problem also and didnt realize that I had to execute the device software. I think the main problem people are having with this is (as I had) is a software association issue.

In other words, these are the steps you would take to install device software from Website to Blackberry. Steps 3 & 4 seem to be missed a lot. As I did

    Update the BlackBerry Device Software
Verify that your system administrator or wireless service provider has provided you with a link to the BlackBerry® Device Software.
    1. Close the BlackBerry Desktop Manager if it is open.
    2. Download the BlackBerry Device Software.
    3. Double-click the BlackBerry Device Software setup program file on your computer.
    4. Complete the instructions on the screen.
    5. Connect your BlackBerry device to your computer.
    6. Open the BlackBerry Desktop Manager.
    7. Click Update Now.
    8. Complete the instructions on the screen.

I did all that but when I get to step 5 the screen is blank and nothing comes up. Did I do something wrong or is my BB broken?? ~via BB (wap.pinstack.com)~

    To quote step 5A.
If you don’t have a listing for your current device, or the listing in figure 2 is a lower version (B and C) than the one(s) from Figure 1., Download the appropriate file from the RIM Downloads pages, BlackBerry Desktop and Device Software Download Sites and install it by executing the downloaded file.
Blank Screen in step 5 = don't have current listing for your current device in step 5A.

Complete the process starting from steps 5A and 5B.

Step 7 in the original post indicates you should add your Vendor ID number (109) followed by the vertical bar symbol in front of each of the lists following the "VendorID=" for those themes that are compatible with your device. For the 7250, look for anything that has KeyboardType="Qwerty" in the fileset description. Activating themes from other carriers is the whole purpose of this thread.

Re: Straight line instructions to activate Vendor Themes (Except 8130)

Help/About Desktop Manager/device Software lists the verson of software package(s) that have been installed on the PC. If it's blank then you need to download the package and install it on the PC. Look back at step 5A and 5B
