Re: Straight line instructions to activate Vendor Themes (Except 8130)

Ok, so I went through this process and everything went according to plan. However, when I started getting emails I realized that the way it's handling them when I delete them is different now.

I'm on AT&T BIS with an 8300. Before, it used to prompt me to delete the message(s) from just the handheld or from the mailbox when using my Gmail account. Now, it only prompts me to delete or cancel (like it used to do for just my Blackberry email account). I've pulled the battery to get a complete reset and also had my service books resent. Is this part of the update for the new OS, or has something gone awry? I upgraded to the newest AT&T OS 4.2.2.166 from 4.2.2.89.

    Anyone have any thoughts/suggestions?

Did you check the reconciliation options for each added account? If so and they are the way you want them, then the only other thing I can think of is to delete then re-add each of your other accounts.

I'm sorry but I really want this to work for me but have had no luck. I have a T-Mo Curve and I do not have a shared folder the farthest I can go is ((C:\Program Files\Common Files\Research In Motion)) where I have: AppLoader; BBBI Drivers; Modem Drivers; RIMDeviceManager; USB Drivers. Is there someway that I;m supposed to get the Shared folder?

you don't have the device handheld software loaded on your PC. you have to have that installed. once you have it installed, the shared folder will magically appear

    welcome to pinstack

When I went into the settings the synchronization of email accounts was set to no. I changed and saved, and even had the service books resent. But still no go unfortunately. I've also deleted and re-added the account, and resent the service books again. Still nothing. I'm hoping somebody has some more suggestions because this is getting annoying with as much email as I get.

The instructions in the original post *do* work with the Pearl 8130. Just don't load the T-Mobile themes/myFaves apps. This is what makes it crash. Vodaphone themes are sweet! -D

We were aware of this being the problem and since there is another thread explaining how to load them on the 8130, it was decided to let that process be the major one for the Pearl 2s, rather than try to explain which of the filesets not to modify with the vendor ID edit.

But thanks for the verification and the good news.

I followed the instructions, backed up my Pearl and then I got stuck on step 5!

    This is what I see:

    Nothing turns up...!

What should I do now? :[

Re: Straight line instructions to activate Vendor Themes (Except 8130)

i just opened the BlackBerry.ALX file and edited the theme lines to include my carrier. Then saved. Plugged in my BlackBerry 8100 and it noticed a update to the OS. And installed. Now I have all the themes.
