When i go into (options>Adv>Apps) i dont see any language files. i tried the "modules" under the menu button which gives the files i am looking for but when i hit menu again there is no "delete" option. Any thing i am missing?

*** I figured it out i had to go through the DM> App Loader to uncheck those components of the OS.

What you deleted is the English UK. The os is base written in English. I do not have any languages on my BB and am still in English. You will be OK. No worries.

Re: How To: Stop Disappearing SMS/MMS/E-mail/Call Logs

    Hi All,
I'm new to the blackberry world, but I have apparently done something wrong. Mine keeps telling me that I have 1 missed call. I have deleted all the call logs, message logs, and even the event log (alt+lglg thing) I'm not sure how to get rid of this notification. I have removed the battery and nothing seems to help. If anyone can help me to find where this missed call is hiding that would be awesome.
    Thanks

Go into the messages, menu, view folder, missed calls, highlight the date, select delete prior. This should clear the phantom missed call. May also want to do so for the call log folder as well. Hope it helps. Welcome to the Stacks.

I went into messages, menu, view folder, and every single folder said *no messages* so I wasn't able to select any dates...any other ideas
    Thanks

When you go into your call log/phone application does it show the most recent calls?

nope, those are all gone too...lol. I read further back something about a restore, but I don't know how to do that, and I don't have a backup yet, I have only had this for 5 days...lol.

All right so this is what you are going to try to do. follow this thread and do a full back up on the PC. Then follow it and do a selective restore and do not restore the phone call logs. This will get rid of the missed call since your device got rid of the call logs. Make sure you fre up memory on the phone when you get a chance. Post back with any questions.

Also what OS are you running? menu, about, 3rd line down.

That worked great...I was starting to think that I was just going to have to accept the phantom missed call. BTW I am running 4.3.
    Thanks again.

Re: How To: Stop Disappearing SMS/MMS/E-mail/Call Logs

I have memory cleaner enabled, no more lost call logs or SMS texts.
    Whoo hoo
Settings > general settings > enable content compression > you'll then get the memory cleaner icon on the home screen.
I run it once a day.

Re: How To: Stop Disappearing SMS/MMS/E-mail/Call Logs

No problem. Regardless of what I tried to do (delete languages, dump error logs, battery pull once a day), I would still have (well not have, really lol) the mysterious missing calls in call log and text messages that would disappear. This issue followed me on three seperate devices and multiple OS updates. The memory cleaner seems to be the fix all, at least for me. Now if I do a battery pull for any reason, once the device comes up to the home screen, I'll go check my call log....If there is nothing listed (usually not the case anymore), just run memory cleaner, and 'poof', calls magically appear back in the call log. Hooray for Memory Cleaner. If only you didn't have to have the Blackberry on Defcon 3 lockdown mode to enable it...lol

Re: How To: Stop Disappearing SMS/MMS/E-mail/Call Logs

How to get memory cleaner. Go to options > general settings > Enable password, content protection, and content compression > then press esc key and scrool to Save. You'll then be in (options >) security options. You should now have a new menu listing available called "memory cleaner". Scroll and click to the new menu. On "show icon on home screen" select Yes. You will now have an icon on your home screen that you can run anytime. It only takes about 3 seconds to run it. Things it cleans each time you run it:
    Address book cache.
    Certificate search.
    Certificate status manager.
    Clipboard.
    Content protection cache.
    Encrypted messages.
    Key store.
    PGP key search.

(I also have clean when idle enabled)
