I wonder if you if its possible to watch stuff from http://beta.sling.com/show/list if someone doesn't have a Slingbox...
Sling Media announced SlingPlayer Mobile client for BlackBerry devices now available for download. Officially supported devices are the Pearl 8120, Pearl Flip 8220, Curve 8320, BlackBerry 8820, Curve 8900, and Bold 9000.
Visit mobile.slingmedia.com from your BlackBerry browser to install it.
I wonder if that's possible also. I don't have the money for a Slingbox.
8300 not supported. does that mean its time to upgrade. heh
They are adding more devices from what I read on the site.
No Storm support? Bummer.
After checking out the features of this, I may be buying a new TV and may ask to throw in the Slingbox SOLO or Pro LOL
Maybe if SkyFire actually developed for BB or if RIM actually cared about fixing the browser we'd be able to do it, but I won't hold my breath, that's for sure.
sorry guys...i'm havin one of those moments.....I have an 8300 but upgraded to 4.5..I downloaded and it seems to work...but what the heck is it?????? I don't understand what this app does. The site to me is very vague....I am interested in the app but don't know if I need it. I assume it's a streamer???
This app is used by your mobile device to access your Slingbox. If you do not have a Slingbox or know someone who does, this app will be of no use to you. If you are not sure what a Slingbox is here goes...This device is connected to your home television system and your home network. You can then access your DVR for example from a computer, mobile device and now blackberry running the sling client from anywhere in the world. This means you can watch live television, recorded television and setup recording jobs all while you are away from your home. For more information please visit http://www.slingmedia.com.
“If GM had kept up with technology like the computer industry has, we would all be driving $25 cars that got 1000 MPG!"
I wish i had a slingbox so I could test this app.
I love it! Been using it since yesterday.. Debating whether or not I want to buy it yet though. Gonna enjoy the 30 day trial while it lasts though
