    1. Uninstall your old desktop manger.
2.Go to blackberry.com and download desktop manager ver 4.1.
    3. Install the new version then synch it. That's about it

That's not quite it. This will only update the desttop manager.
Ron, you need to go to the Blackberry OS Software links (by carrier) thread and find your carrier's link, go there and download the latest version of the 7100g 4.1.x.xxx OS. once Downloaded execute the exe file to install it on your PC. Then go to C:\Program Files\Common Files\Research In Motion\AppLoader and delete vendor.xml file. Finally open the Desktop manager and use the Application Loader to install the OS on your BB.

    Hope this helps.

Alt+Cap+Backspace does not work to reboot the 7105t. I haven't been able to find a way to do this. I think because the backspace doubles as pound and I can find no way to disable home screen dialing on the 7105t w/ BBOS 4.1.

Im not sure if this has been discussed before. Open messages, while the date is highlighted press enter and it will jump to compose email. I use this one often.

Quick question: what's the quickest way to enter a phone number without having to dial the number and hangup quickly and store it or through the address book? Can i do this with a 4.1 OS upgrade?

thanx. one more question: what do the arrows pointing upward on the "signal strenth bars" mean. I bought the phone and didnt get the manual. is it like a compass telling me which way to go for a stronger signal. Hey, it's just a guess.

When you have arrows up and down in the signal strength it means the alt key is pressed.

If you hold the ALT + Enter keys you can switch languages on the 7130e.
