QuickPlay Media Powering Live, On-Demand Content for Bell Mobility on Storm

Press release: QuickPlay Media, the premier provider of mobile TV and video solutions, today announced it is powering live and on-demand services for Bell Mobility on their most popular video-enabled devices, including the new BlackBerry Storm smartphone. The new audio and video entertainment offering is accessible via Bell’s integrated media player and marks the first time QuickPlay has powered a large scale live mobile TV service.

Live and on-demand content offered as part of the Bell service is accessible to subscribers with video-enabled phones such as the BlackBerry Storm. The newest addition to Bell’s line up of 3G smartphones, the touch-screen BlackBerry Storm features a stunning 3.25” screen with high definition-like picture quality for the ultimate mobile TV and video viewing experience.

“QuickPlay is excited that Bell Mobility has chosen us to power its mobile TV services and to build on our long-standing relationship, which now enables Bell to provide subscribers with the option to watch both live and on-demand content on most video-enabled mobile devices,” said Wayne Purboo, president and CEO, QuickPlay Media. “With our flexible mobile video solutions our customers are equipped to not only meet the demands of their customers today, but to accommodate changing mobile content demands and associated service requirements in the future.”

“Today’s mobile customers are looking for the most advance 3G services to help them stay informed and entertained on the go. Working with QuickPlay has helped enable Bell Mobility to deliver a rich multimedia experience to our clients so they can enjoy TV, radio and videos right from their mobile phones,” said Nauby Jacob, Bell Mobility’s Vice President of User Experience and Content. “The ability to watch Live TV and listen to radio, powered by QuickPlay, combined with the ease of use of a touch-screen, makes the BlackBerry Storm one of the hottest smartphones available today.”
