Wasn't it something to do with a false key trigger.

Turning off the backlight setting should no longer be neccessary. This was only leading to the BerryBuzz LED being turned off when a BerryPopup window comes up.

Alert 1: Is set for sms from a specific number and works fine. Plays Tone 1.

Alert 2: Is set for sms from a specific number and is the tone that is playing for the odd person. Plays Tone 2.

Alert 3: Is a catch all filter set to get any message with the letter "a" in it(very common letter, I'm trying to have it be a tone for everyone else). Plays Tone 3.

Alert 4: Same as Alert 3 but with the letter "o". Plays Tone 3.

I had a person text me that did not match the number specified for alerts 1 and 2. Everytime I get a text from this person though it plays Tone 2. Even when I got a one word txt "good" it still played Tone 2 and not Tone 3. It only does it for this one person, for the other people that txt me the catch all filter works fine. Tried several battery pulls and I'm on the latest version released last night.

Can you PM me the numbers exactly as you have entered them for alert 1 and 2? And what is the exact number of the person that is sending the text and triggering the wrong alert 2 instead of alert3?

Alert 3 and 4 are not necessary and can be combined into one. Simply create an alert with all fields empty. That will catch all messages.

I sent Bike a pm with my settings to see if he sets them up like mine if it works for the LED's and ringtones. I have no issues at all with my tones playing the way I want them.

In the individual alerts he had spaces in the phone number. So when the friend called, alert 2 was tripped because they had the same area code. Having him remove the spaces in the alerts and turn back on the default tone for SMS to see if that cures him. He can probably remove alert 3 and alert 4 now.

When an SMS comes in, the popup shows the sender's phone number only and not the name of the sender in the address book.

    With emails, the popup's fine.

Might sound like a silly question but what size font are you using?

So it shows the sender's phone number twice? Can you PM me the phone number you see in the popup and the phone number as it is entered for the contact in your phonebook?

Yup, it appears twice. The number in the popup and in the address book is exactly the same: +XXXXX9070910. If I dismiss the popup and open the SMS folder, the name of the sender is indicated.

I'm not so sure about this but if I remember it right, the name does not show when the SMS sender has a picture in my address book. If the sender has no picture in my address book, the sender's name appears in the popup.
