I'm on .247... What's the easiest fastest simplest way to undo the .rem? I've got a couple of gps tracks I need un-encrypted...

Can someone who has used 247 comment on how it compares? I have been using 241 which has been extremely stable.

Been running .247 for 6 hours now. Seems to be OK. Battery charges slower than usual; I hope that will regularize.

It took GPS 2 battery pulls and 10 minutes to get its first lcok, but now it locks with 20 seconds.

Battery life iteself seems OK, maybe a little better (purely anecdotal). I have minimum open apps, spotty cell coverage at home and I keep wifi on at home all the time.

It does seem a little snappier, had to really tell thoug -- I am getting the hourglass a lot less now though.

I really like the "long menu press" feature on this ROM.

So long as the battery stabilizes this is a keeper.

Oh yea I had 54mb memory on first battery pull, settled down to 36mb now (not that I worry about it but I'm sure there are those who are curious about it).

    Happy flashing!

Yea, I like the long menu press also. My battery wouldn't charge at all last night. Did a couple of resets and it works. It does take a little longer to charge than the others but over all it has been the best since .219 for me. Battery life has increased for me, thank god, that has been my biggest issue with every OS since .219. I don't think its going to be as good as .219 as everything is faster but I can live with that as long as it will get me through the day(work day). Just my info on this, 52.4 MB free upon re boot, settles at 39MB, goes up with browser usage(as all of them have done since .234),quick boot up time (in the rage of low 1 min.), excellent signal coverage, and very snappy UI. Also renders java pages quickly. To note, I did not wipe the Bold before install as I didn't want lose tether berry. If the battery stays decent and can get me through the day, you all can have the beta testing as I'm sticking with this one for a while. Lol

Never mind. This post didn't make much sense in this context since it was commenting on something in the "official OS thread" but they decided to move my post and none of the others discussing beta OS's. *rolls eyes*

Some Bold battery stats on .247

    Running the following:
    Wifi (connected)
    Bluetooth (not synced)
    Radio (on, EDGE)

    Apps running:
    Msn messenger
    Yahoo messenger
    Aim
    Iskoot
    Google talk
    Facebook
    Myspace
    Twitterberry

    Constant gps updates running via:
Google latitude (set to satellite view)
    GPSed constantly maintaining satelite tracks

With all this, there was a regular flow of emails... About 50+ an hour (pinstack, personal etcy..
    No calls...

The battery lasted me 6.5 hrs... From 100% to 10%

This is absolutely amazing because .245 lasted me about 3.5 to 4 hrs...

And I did a jl cmder wipe and a 3rd party app backup n restore with device switch...

Free mem started at abt 36 mb (with all the apps I had installed) and balanced out abt abt 24-28mb

The bb didn't heat up, battery didn't heat up... Maintained 35c...

Just an fyi, if the battery temp reaches 39c, the battery stops charging till the temperature of the device goes down...

Will update further as I find out more...

Did it last night. Did not wipe first. Forgot to delete vendor.xml. All appears well. Charged fine overnight. I LOVE the long menu press feature. Can anyone tell me what may happen due to my forgetting to delete the .xml file?
