I have ATT. .210 had good battery life, .234 was bad, and .237 has the best by far.

I need my blackberry operation for the next bit so I'm not gonna try .237 for now... but because there are mixed results... I am willing to give it a shot again in the near future. Will be sure to report back with my findings!

Download jl commander from the downloads section. When you run it a few options will come up. There is specifically one that says "wipe" choose that one.

I have a 32bit version (which works with a 64 bit OS) which i will attach for all of you. Simply delete the 16bit version out of the directory and replace it with the 32 bit found on this thread, run jl_cmder and voila! No error.

I have confirmed this works, as I just did it successfully on mine. Do not run jl_cmder as admin, set compatibility to xp sp2 and it should work.

Here is the new version: RapidShare: Easy Filehosting

    HOW TO:

    1. Download jl_cmder from JL_Cmder Javaloader Utility Non Installer
    2. Extract contents
    3. Download MY version
    4. Replace CHOICE.COM with the my version of the file.
    5. Rename my version extension to CHOICE.COM (thanks minigts for the catch!)
    6. Right click JL_Cmder.cmd and choose properties
    7. Click compatibility tab and check Run this program in compatibility mode for: Windows XP (Service Pack 2)
    8. Click OK
    9. Run JL_Cmder.cmd
10 and run JL as normal.

Ok, here goes, I'm on AT&T, branded to it. On .210 battery life was decent, .219 was better, on .234 is where on my part it gets interesting. On .234 my memory leak and battery life was awful for the first 3 days, after that the memory leak got better with the battery life. On .237 battery life is awful and memory leak is somewhat better, this after a day. I have never wiped my bold with jlcommander before an OS install, not sure if this is a factor. If along with noting your carrier would everybody note if they did wiped or did not wipe their device before the "upgrade"

After a full day my increased battery life is confirmed--for me at least.

My phone has not been plugged up at all and after 12 hours I am at 70% with moderate use.

    My only glitches are:

    1) My icons do not render properly on my theme. I don't get the red star with new mails, my yahoo messenger is grayed out and my WeatherBug doesn't show current conditions. I tried different themes with no change.
    2) The theme overlap on font continues.

Other than the above this is the best ROM so far and I've used .167, .210, .216, .228 and .234.

This is my humble newbie inexperienced experience. :-)

    Jim
