bmay, I´m a little alergic to try out all the updates, but I must say .423 has made the 9700 faster, no memory leaks (so far) and 3G is also much quicker. I haven´t speed tested it yet, but I noticed !

I've had .442 on my device for a few days now. No issues.

By the way, .442 is NOT a beta. It is an official RIM release.

I downloaded .442 and deleted vendor files but I was unable to load on my device. Evertime I tried desktop manager said there were no updates available.

I tried upgrading from .423 to .422 and got an error code. Now my phone is stuck on the loading screen. How do I fix this?

    c-los,

You might be able to just try and reload the OS on top of what's there now. Try that first.

If it won't work, you'll need to wipe the device and then reload the OS. You can use the JL Cmndr method or there's another program called BBSAK (BlackBerry Swiss Army Knife) that' supposed to be a lot easier to use for things like this. I'll look around and find that link for you.

    Keep us posted!
