Definitely nice to see Obama still fighting to keep his BB, no matter how old it is or isn't.

I'm liking this guy more and more everyday.

If that were me I would step down from being President before I let them take my BlackBerry away from me! Lol.

Perhaps he should have used it last night to send a copy of the oath of office to the Chief Justice.

Aside from seeing the CJ choke on the oath of office, the innauguration was nothing short of inspiring.

Blackberry or no Blackberry, this guy is awesome!

On the news tonight they were talking about Obama's BB. Apparently RIM has made a special device for him. Allegedly at a price tag of $3000. Looks as secure as his Cadillac.

    "BarackBerry"

Does anyone know who makes this handset? @ $3250, its not cheap to get hold of, but this is the handset Barack Obama will be using. I wonder if it compares in anyway to the normal BlackBerry

I would think he would have a world edition. I have a friend that has one as well and not willing yet to give it up or upgrade as of yet. The storm or bold may change her mind??

President Barack Obama, as far as we know, has two addictions: cigarettes and his BlackBerry cell phone. While his wife leans on him to give up the cigarettes, his staff aides have been insisting he retire the cell phone. There is very little doubt that Obama will give up his trusty Blackberry, however, the Secret Service will deal with him about that.

Now Micro$oft is saying that the device could be a spy for Canada. Absurd, just abusrd.

Microsoft (NSDQ: MSFT), however, has questioned the wisdom of the president relying on a device whose maker is based in Canada. “You would be sending your data outside the country,” says Randy Siegel, a Microsoft enterprise mobile strategist who works on federal government projects. “We wouldn’t want the casual musings or official communications of the most important person in the world being intercepted by others.”
