Are there any plans to release new versions of the OS for the 8120?

I see from here that other models are getting newer (4.6 and 4.7 etc) versions of the OS.

    Cheers.

    BB 8120

Hey, I am very new to this area.
I just had a BB 8120 without data plan, but I couldn't set up the browser to wi-fi, there is no option for this.
Could any one explain this and tell me how to use wi-fi ?

    thanks very much

I think if I remember right you just open the browser, then use your BB button/Menu and goto options and select Browser Config, then set Browser at the top to Hotspot Browser.
Then under manage connections, goto Mobile Network Options and turn Data ON.

Anybody running the 4.5.0.153? Is it stable? Problems? OK? Any reports?

Good news!! This OS has solved every lag problem I ever had. I have had my 8120 sitting unattended since I posted the link and have not seen 1 reboot yet. And I have ~18MB free file space.

Another update: I made the mistake of upgrading BeeJive (aka JiveTalk) using the link in the application itself. I ended up with 2 icons on my homescreen. One gave the following error when accessed: "class java.lang.IllegalArgumentException, Width/offsets arguments cannot be negative or exceed text length."

Wiped the phone and reloaded the OS. Now I'm trying to get the link to the version that had FaceBook IM support in it. Gave up and went back and downloaded all of the RIM IM clients (when are they going to release MySpace and FaceBook chat clients??).
