Hey guys!! Have a friend on a Rogers network. Fairly new 8110, untouched, total virgin! But now she is experiencing problems with it. Very often, her pictures and messages r bein deleted without her consent. Anyóne have this problem before? Can this be resolved by a software upgrade? She's had the original OS that the phone came with rogers. Any help would be great! Thanks!!

Mac, kinda sounds like your friend is having a memory shortage issue. She needs to go to Options>Status and see what her file free reading is. Does she have a media card in her device? If not, things like pictures, messages, etc take up an extreme amount of the device memory. Pictures, ringtones, etc should really be stored on a media card, apart from the device memory, which is very limited.
Please refer to the Technical Support Blog link in my signature (you'll have to be on your PC/laptop to access that, though).....you'll find a thread dedicated to keeping the device memory cleaned up.

Not sure how you managed to keep up with all those revisions, but here's the full list of official 8110 carriers in alphabetical order, and the OS they're providing today:
As noted in the original list, carriers that host their own download sites like t-Mobile (US) are not included. These are only carriers whose OS downloads are hosted by RIM.

the O2 release is definitely the best .124 release for my 8110 pearl. Less soft reset, NO memory leaks

i hope there would be new OS update which will enable efficiency of microSD card usage such as being able to install applications directly into SDcard rather than into the internal memory.

For the latest OS, when the BB is locked, what is the shortcut key/button to change the BB to the last selected profile?
In 4.2, I could hold down the # key (while it was locked) and it would change to the last profile (ie. from "Normal" to "Vibrate").
I will upgrade my OS only if this functionality is brought back.
