I am not on a Bold but I have to say with the 5.0 OS for the devices that can get it, RIM has hit a homerun.... It turned my Storm into a work of art and I can't even imagine how awesome it will be on the Storm2 I am getting in the morning.

yes, if you go to your options in sms and go to General Options.... Hide Sent Messages. Just set that to Yes and you will be good to go!

.314 is the best version ive tried to date but the memory leak problems im getting with it are pretty bad. after a few hours im down from 25 MB free after a battery pull to less than 6 MB free. ive only had a random restart twice and both were when i wasnt doing anything with the phone.

    Uncaught exception

    Dear friends:
I have been using 5.0.0.314 for more tha a week now. It is excelent. Except for the Internet Browser, everything else works perfect. But this morning it started the following intermittent message:

    Uncaught exception:
    ApplicationRegistry.waitFor
    (0x7c802477365c3985) timeout

And I can not receive or make calls.

    Any ideas ?

I had the same error yesterday. I pulled out the battery two times then the error went away.

I'm getting an "Uncaught exception" error message as well, but it is browser-related. In order to prevent it, I do a battery pull, and when the device prompts me for your password, entering it immediately seemingly prevents my Bold from not generating the error message.

It says "Uncaught exception. There is a problem with "net_rim_browser_deamon (54)", and a number "0x...", etc.

I don't really care, as the browser works fine, since the Bold 2 (9700) will be out this or next we (confirmed by corp. store employee in my town ). Besides, AT&T will be releasing the official OS 5.0 for the Bold 9000 around that time as well. It is annoying, though. lol...

.314 is still great for me. Still getting random reboots though. Really random, the phone would be sitting idle and I'll see the red light, or texting or making an appointment in the calendar...

But it's nowhere near annoying yet.
    I have a BlackBerry and a WhiteApple. :)

314 is really a faster build but the random reboots and battery drain can't be compensated by speed. 238 is most stable for me

Random reboots? Battery drain??? No, I couldn't deal with anything like that either. In fact, even a rare reset, or anything else that most people would consider not to be a "big deal" would disqualify any OS beta for me. This is the very best OS beta in either 4.6 or 5.0 flavors that I have seen for the Bold9000.

Build .314 is like a well-oiled, fine-tuned, detailed car. I find it to be unexpectedly fast and very nice looking (compared to v4.6 OS graphics). I feel like I have a whole new BlackBerry. Makes it much easier waiting for the Bold 9700.
