.42 is really stable and smooth on the 8320. The only problem i had was with the itookthisonmyphone app. Doesnt seem to agree with this os. But noooooo problems what so ever. It feels like an official release.

    • Microsoft Office document editing with DocumentsToGo
    • Native format attachment downloading
    • HTML e-mails

I can watch videos fine. I can't put my memory card back in without it constantly rebooting. Is there a fix? I may have to go back to 4.2! ~via BB (wap.pinstack.com)~

    Hi

With the official .37 out there and the unofficial .42 in Beta has anyone used both ? What's the difference ? The official .37 version seems to still have problems...were these sorted out in the .42 Beta and / or are there new issues ?

Can't see much point in changing to an "official" version if it's not as good as a later Beta ?!

    Any comments ?

    Thanks

You have to Re-format your card, it was the same for 4.2.

I have .18 and I think I'm going to stick with it until a local carrier releases Official 4.5. I am reading too many issues for this to be a final bugless OS. Seems that the .37 from Vodafone is the same as the beta.

seems like theres nothin official about this release, people have been noticing the same problems the .37 beta had still popping up on this "official" release (white balance on camera, memory card causing looping reboots, etc.) im waiting it out to see how it goes for everyone.

    new OS 4.5

I don't know if any one else on Rogers has tried the new 4.5 OS. I load it up last night and I haven't been able to put my BB down since. It took a while to load but was well worth the wait. Email looks way better. Same with the new browser. This is the Vodafone offical release not the beta. I suggest everyone try it out.

I couldn't find the 4.5 OS for Rogers, is it out yet? Or did you use the Vodafone one?

Scratch that last message. I see you've used Vodafone. Tell me, when you update the OS, do you lose the third-party software? Do you need to reinstall things like blackberry wallet again?
