BlackBerry Gemini 9300 info

via BGR

"First there was “Pluto,” then were was “Magnum,” but now we’re talkin’ about something totally different — Gemini. What’s Gemini you ask? From what we’ve been told, the working model number is 9300, so that’s BlackBerry 9300. As you can imagine, the 9xxx line of BlackBerry devices is for 3G handsets and the Gemini won’t break that tradition. We’re told to think of this as the BlackBerry Curve “3G”. While we don’t have specifics on some of them, here’s a breakdown on what we know, and what specs we’ve got a hold of:
  • The screen will be larger than the BlackBerry 8900, and that will also include a higher resolution
  • The CPU will also be beefed up. We’re not sure if this means it will include something more powerful than the Bold’s 624MHz processor or not, but we’d like to think so."

Where is the Capricorn Blackberry 9400? Lol j/k

But wow this thing is hot!!! This will be the Curve of all Curves. (With the exceptional battery drainage ofcourse do to 3G)

I would jump on this device instantly. "A faster processor, more resolution?" What about increased RAM? Now that would be a killer, say 512MB or even 1GB would set the tone for me.

I say keep'em coming!

And of course the first phones sent out for the first 6mo will have horrid OS issues just like all the other new phones! LOL!

Why??? Why not just have the Javelin, the Bold and the Storm??? Lets come up with a NEW DESIGN RIM!!!!!

I don't see why they wouldn't inlcude 3G on the 8900. I mean I have 3G on my 8330 Curve. If 3G is going to be the new standard, heck 4G is coming, why not put it in.

Well it's not labeled 9330 so it wouldn't go to VZW or Sprint, 9300 would be a GSM device.

I'm sure a CDMA version will come, maybe a few months later as usuall

Quad-band GSM/GPRS/EDGE, and tri-band UMTS/HSDPA, Sounds like quite the tasty Berry.

See this is what the 8900 should have been. The ONLY reason they released the 8900 is to get Curve lovers to upgrade. Now that its rolling out and nobody can resist buying it, we get news of the TRUE 83xx successor aka the 8900 but with Bold class features (triband HSPA etc...).
Im really not happy with RIM's strategies lately ... not happy ...
