BerryBuzz 2.0 Private Beta Adds Support for BlackBerry Messenger& Facebook

Bellshare has announced that BerryBuzz is now in private beta. This version is a HUGE step up from their already awesome current version. Here are a few of the added features:

    Version 2.0.5 (July 3rd, 13:50 CET):
    - Added support for BlackBerry Messenger (yep, we did it)
    - Added support for Facebook
    - Added coverage indicator that can be triggered when Radio/Data is available or when Radio/Data is not available
    - Changed to a more compact layout
    - Added support for custom LED colors
    - Added new color 'Disco', will flash all colors in sequence
    - Added LED color preview indicators to every item
    - Added scheduling option to mute LED and reminders during specified times of the week

The added support for BlackBerry Messenger has probably been one of the most requested features I have seen during previous betas and the addition of scheduling was one that I have personally been waiting for.

Check out this thread on their forum for the full list of new features and fixes, details on requesting to become a part of the private beta group, and for bug submission and feedback.

Note: The beta is limited and they may not be able to honor all requests for the private beta

I'm sure as they get the bugs worked out and release newer versions they will sent out more invites. Be sure to keep up on the thread in their support forum so you know what's been going on and what to expect when you do get your invite

This is a major update, it will not be free for owners of the 1st version. But if you do own the 1st one you will get the new version at a discounted price.

I am loving it so far...the custom LED is a tremendous addition and works extremely well. Very nice upgrade and I am so glad I was able to get the jump on getting in on it.

Those of you that are waiting - I promise you will not be disappointed.

    Thanks AZ!

I don't think that this new update should have to cost for owners of the previous version. I do realize that many new features have been added but the updated version of bellshare's BerryWeather 1.5 was free for owners of that previous version.

Most app developers do this when it's a major jump. If it was 1.0 to 1.5 they wouldn't charge but 1.0 to 2.0 yes. And it will be a reduced fee. It won't cost the same for you to upgrade as it will for someone buying the new 2.0 version for the first time.

These higher version numbers represent the number of builds and many weeks or months of development. This version has added so many new features that I fully support paying a fee to upgrade.
