I think you can gently pry it off with a fingernail or small flathead screwdriver. Its the part that covers the back sdpeaker. Take off the battery cover first.

Does changing the housing as shown in the pictures void the warranty?

Just a note on taking the speaker cover off of the 7105t in order to get at the two screws (2 of 4) that hold the back on.
The speaker cover on the back simply snaps on and off. Place a small screwdriver on the bottom of one of the two black tangs that seem to enter the top of the battery cover (oh, take off the battery cover first to do this). Push in gently and pry up. Another place to pry on is on the side of the tang you are working on if it seems to "stick" partly up. Then do the same to the other tang and the cover should come free. This post probably seems hopelessly simple to more experienced electronic repair people, but is what I needed as a "simpleton"!
Thanks to this forum- I saved meself $60 bucks when I just cleaned out the lint ball that was interfering with my trackwheel, and making my trackwheel stick, and seemingly not function.

Re: 7100g to 7100x Housing Swap Guide

I live in Houston, where BB Repair Shop is located. Yesterday, I stopped by their office and had them switch out the housing on my 7105t for the 7100x. Now, my phone looks great and works great, so if anyone was still wondering if this switch is possible, it definitely is! The guys there are really nice and helpful.
