From what I gather from other people in the thread is that it might work on Verizon/Sprint but, since the release is not for CDMA handsets you will have to modify it and it MIGHT work. So I am waiting till the CDMA version is out and I will gladly try it then.

i was having a problem installing before. then i searched previous post, they said that you are suppose to delet the vendor.xml file which is found in C:\Program Files\Common Files\Reseach In Motion\App Loader\ just delete it and go to the blackberry desktop manager(should restart after you delete the vendor.xml file) and application loader and should be there. thats all i did took about 10-15 mins to load so im about to check it out thanks pinstack!!!

ok, so here is what i was told... there is no exact date thus far... however if its being rolled out by the other carriers we should have it with in the next two weeks. Also , you know when you call and your service provider tranferrs you to tech support> well what they to trouble shoot your problem is this : www.blackberry.com/btsc.com and it will tell them three options to help you and clear your problem ... and if that doesnt work then they trans the call to the real BB. ... it wasnt what i wanted but i got some information hope this helps a little...

I also have the 8703e and was wondering if just switching out the GPRS folder for the CDMA folder would work to get this installed on our phones.

The following error pops up on the application loader screen,

    "Unspecified error encountered [A:0x00000001]"

HELP!! I can't take this tease any longer. So close, yet so far away!

One more thing, when my BB finishes rebooting it connects just fine to my computer.

    Any advice is much appreciated.

    Just a brief update:

I upgraded my desktop manager sorftware and that did the trick! I am now nearly completed with the OS upgrade. Boy, does that data restore take forever!
Oh well, worth the wait! Can't wait to try it out
