Neverhad - you are just so wrong. As I stated if you would have read the post completely.. I am a verizon customer.. have a verizon Strom.. called Global support Wednesday. Told them I am traveling.. they walked me thru the unlock on the phone.. then I put my co-workers sim card in and it works on Tmobile as well. You can even register it on the network and get the emails. We did it.. I dont understand why you still tell everyone we're wrong when we are giving you the evidence. Isn't that the point of this forum - to exchange updated, truthful information? Perhaps the reason Verizon is telling you no is because you are exposing the same arrogance with them. The woman who did it for me was very kind and helpful.

The other requirements to get the unlock codes are to have a Verizon account in good standing and to be a customer for a certain period of time. I guess you dont fall under those two requirements either neverhad |

FYI.. I just got off the phone with Verizon and asked, as you suggest. They confirmed as we have stated that my unlocked phone which was unlocked using the code they give me Wednesday can be used with any other GSM carrier and ANY SIM in the world - not only the UK. There's the confirmation you requested. With all respect, you may want to call the Global Support desk for yourself. Have a great weekend everyone!

here IS the surprising thing RanXoren... I am brand new Verizon customer... ported my number from Tmobile early last week. I think it really does depend on whom you talk to at Global Support. I heard about those requirements but they didnt hold me to that...maybe I just lucked out. Bottom line is any GSM carrier SIM will now worked.. I did comfirm it with Verizon just now

thanks much for that. I try to hold myself together when others react so unkindly and rudely just because they MUST be right! I'm not even going to change the sim though most likely... I've just had all my other blackberry's unlocked when I was with T-Mobile. It does make it quite a bit easier to sell them if you ever want to.
