I have EDGE, text messages, my home email on my 9530 and all of it works fine. My AT&T service books are on my Storm, but the browser icon is not on my icon page, but is hidden and can only be seen when I press and hold the function key (running apps) and when I click on the browser, it says I need to send the service books..............but they are on the phone. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Okay......... I have FINALLY got everything going on my Storm. Getting emails, internet, incoming & outgoing calls, etc. Just have two MINOR little problems and thought I would put this out there in case someone can tell me how to fix these:

1. I have my SIM card in and also under Owner it has my name but on the main screen it still shows the previous owner's phone number. I can't find where I can change that on the main menu. When I place calls my number shows up on the other pesons phone so I know the phone recognizes my SIM and phone number. What can I do to change the number in just that one place??

2. When I miss a call the icon that shows up looks like an unread message. It is the little closed yellow envelope with the number of missed calls in front of it. I actually have to click on messages to see what number I missed. I should show the little phone with an "x" or something in front of it. I just think the icons are mixed up. Any one know a fix for this??

I am unable to open the generic service books. I don't have winzip. Can someone email me these files that I don't have to unzip? Please help.

Little thing I found today....may help those having issues with EDGE vs. edge

In the original post it was stated:
"Now go to AT&T BIS Page log in and resend your service books. Then on your Storm go to Option>Advanced Options>TCP APN should say APN: wap.cingular Username:WAP@CINGULARGPS.COM Password: CINGULAR1"

The first time I typed in the APN, Username and Password it was in all lower case. I was having an IMMEDIATE problem with the phone staying on edge with only one bar. I immediately started troubleshooting it because up until that moment I was having a very solid EDGE for over a day everywhere I went ( I fogot this step initially when I loaded everything )

I retyped the APN, etc in a second time but making sure I typed them in EXACTLY as they were in the original post. Which means I typed the username and password in all caps. Now, I have a solid EDGE running between 2 and 3 bars.

I hope this helps those with the edge vs EDGE issue!!

I have the Curve 8310 have had it (I have had 3 this is the 3rd one) for 8 months and have used it for about 2 months. All in all I have been a blackberry owner now for 2 years. I considered the iPhone and kinda still am unless I can get an unloacked storm and depending what others who have the storm with AT&T service. Would like to hear how it works, any problems and such I want the good, bad and indifferent reviews please.

Mine is working fine now that I took the necessary steps to get the browser working with my carrier (AT&T). I'm switching between it and my 8900 with no problems.

How do you keep EDGE on caps so internet is always available? Mine is always going between cap edge and lower case edge meaning no internet?

I am looking 2 trade my service provider is AT&T RED 8310 (in brand new condition no scratched or marks) w/ many extras. 2 include an extra battery, blue tooth headset, & car charger 4 an unlocked Storm that I can use on AT&T.

Just an after thought. I have .323, and even if my EDGE drops to edge, I stillhave internet and data. Call it a glitch, call it what you want, I call it a Blackberry!

after unlocking my storm2 and putting my att sim card in, everything worked without doing all this. i can now switch back and forth from verizon to att effortlessly. but i will keep this thread handy just incase i run into any problems, thanks for posting!

maybe this is a dumb question but i have to ask. is it possible to get the storm working without a BB plan. if anybody has an answer please email me.

You can but then what good is a blackberry ?
