Scratches? (Exterior screen)

I got one long scratch on my exterior screen . Is there a screen protector out there for it? I have a home made screen protector on my interior screen. I had an extra for my Curve and cut it out to fit my flip.

Does that tooth paste trick really work? Can I use it on my exterior screen?

Thanks for reading.

I use this stuff, Heavy. Three different formulas for different types of applications.

How much and where can I get it? I'm viewing it on my BB and the site looks a little funny.

You can get it directly off the site. The 2oz starter kit is 19.00 and the 8oz kit is 30.00 Not cheap, but a little goes a long way.

When I ordered mine, they sent along three little sample packets that I used to clean up my Curve, so I haven't even broken into the 2oz bottles yet! They even included a microfiber cloth to use, so all-in-all, I think it's a good deal.

Worked well for me. It definitely takes some time and elbow grease.

I've been using the Novus kit of three grades, for 10 years on all kinds of plastic surfaces besides clear. It works perfectly as long as you follow the directions, and like anything else, give it a chance. learn to rub across at a 90 degree angle to the scratch to remove it, then in circles to polish the surface. I have also used the toothpaste routine and it always leaves scratches as it's abrasive, whereas Novus is a chemical based product. Try it on the plastic cover over the gauges in your car (even if not scratched) , you will be amazed how nice it leaves it looking. I turned my buddy RoGro onto this stuff and now he's a big believer too. Finally, here's what I do. The very first thing when taking a new BlackBerry out of the box, I use the polish on it. Then I never have to use a screen protector. It makes the screen so slippery, and scratch resistant that fingerprints and skin oils, are repelled. If you re-apply it about every 90 days, your BB remains looking better than new.

Cheers

Thanks for the reminder, Archer! Couldn't remember if it was you or pda.teck, who we haven't seen around for a long time.

Thanks again for turning me onto it!

Cheers,
Roger

I used Brasso. Takes about 15 minutes of rubbing lightly in circles, but it looks like new. I use it on my iPod as well.
