It takes a little getting used to.

I used to use the overlord theme, and John and Melissa pulled me into the zen theme.

So I tried it, and within a day I was hooked on it.

OK I have to do this thing! One last question 'fore I dive in. I am on O2, does that make things any easier?

I use O2 OS 4.1.0.286 and the Zen theme came with it when I installed it . Check you Options/Themes for BB Dimension - Zen. If it's there just Activate it.

I don't use it, because it covers to much of the left side of the screen. I do like the Banner layout but it still covers too much of the image.

    Re: zen theme and 8700

Thanks for all the great information everybody. This really is one of the best Forums out there. I have two questions as far as the Zen Theme. I have installed it using the instructions provided and it was quite simple. My 870g was on version 4.2. Did this just install an earlier version and if so am I missing anything important going to the earlier OS version? Also, how in the world do you hide and organize the icons?
Oh, that was three questions...it’s been a long weekend!!!

I don't think your 8700 was using 4.1.x.xxx, I haven't heard of it being released for public installation yet. You DM could be 4.1 but not the 8700 OS, unless you are very special.

The 4.1 software isn't that strange on the 87xx series. I think it's been out for a while now... I've even had 4.1 on my 7520 for almost a year now.

*EDIT* Oops, went back and re-read the upper few posts. I think you mean version 4.2. Had that on the 8100 I just returned a few days ago, loved the device, hated the service.

My O2 software is 4.1.284 and that is the current recommended download version on the O2 site. Where did you get 4.1.286? This might be the answer to all my prayers

    Re: zen theme and 8700

I spoke to an O2 uk tekkie today and was appalled to find that (thanks to Pinstack) I knew more than he did (very scary). "Apparently" Zen can be had on o2 7130 or 8707 OS but his "unofficial" advice after that was to load other software than the O2 recommended one for 8700 because O2 were never gonna make Zen available. zzzzzzz

OK, having followed various good advice, I am now one of the chosen ones and have Zen on my 8700g.

Why is Profiles(loud) still on the left hand side and won't be deleted?

...the icon will remain there! Part of the theme. Plus, at a glance you can tell what profile that is being used...

I thought it was O2 England, but now I'm not sure. It's been so long since I did it, I can't remember.
