    Why didn't you upgrade?

Hey Stackers! Just curious why some of you 8700 users haven't upgraded to curves yet? The reason I ask is, I have a curve and am seriously thinking of going back to the 8700.

I do wonder if I would lose browsing speed or what else I may lose besides the camera and gps.

What's your reason to go back?!

I loved the build of the 8700. In my opinion the keyboard is far better then the curve. The pain seems almost scratch resistant. It also seemed as though signal was better and battery life was better.

Plus I have big hands so it felt better in my hand. I personally also prefer the Trach Wheel over the track ball.

I am struggling on whether or not I can actually downgrade and not beat myself up.

I almost didn't upgrade, I loved my 8700. I used it so much but I think the multimedia of the curve pushed me over the edge.

Yeah, the only thing the 8700 really lacks is the media......camera and such.

Google maps works well without gps, pretty close using cell towers.

Thinking very seriously about returning to the best blackberry ever made, in my opinion.

I love the 8700, I guess b/c it was my first BB, I have debated about getting the curve. I miss not having a camera at times and seems like the curve is lighter to carry but for me right now my 8700 will do, if anything happens to it at that time I will consider the curve.

88xx is built like a brick imo. I'd get that before I went back to an 87xx

I like the 8700 because I love the full keyboard but most importantly, its all about the trackwheel. People say that you get used to the the ball on the Pearl, Curve, etc. but its more than just that. The ball has a texture to it that when I use it, gives me the same sensation of nails on a chalkboard. *SHUDDERS* (Weird I am. Yes.) If they made it smoother, I'd be all over it.
