    Re: what is suretype?

8703e won't use suretype. Suretype is for blackberryies without the full keyboard, since those bb's have 2 letters per key it will guess what word you are trying to type in. With those devices you have 2 options, suretype and multi-tap.

Most people are very opinionated when it comes to Suretype versus full qwerty. I can't stand it myself but there are definitely many who strongly prefer it.

suretype is a feature that you get used to. I can totally see the QWERTY users not liking suretype. You guys type what you want and you get it. Suretype users type what they want and choose from a list. You get used to it though. I have it and I like it. Once you're used to suretype, you have to get re-accustomed to the QWERTY style of typing though.

been a BB user since the 7290 which was qwerty, after had a 7130e and a 8703e. I now own a 8830 and I love it but I do miss SureType since the device was smaller and I could type as fast as with the qwerty

    Re: what is suretype?

From my experience, sure type was great, as long as you hit all the correct keys. But, if you hit the wrong key or double keyed, and didn't catch it immediately, it was a mess to correct. And therefore definitely slower overall for me.

    Re : what is suretype?

Best way to learn suretype is to put something on your screen so you won't see what you're typing and won't be looking to correct everything you wrote
