    What is MMS?

Can anyone help me understand what an MMS "message" would look like on my 8703? I have Sprint service and I was under the impression that MMS was like Picture Mail, but when I receive picture mail it is working like it did on the old non-EVDO phones. (basically, I get a text message with a link to a website. Not a picture like on non-BB EVDO phones.)

How do you send an MMS?

    Thanks,
    Doug

MMS and BlackBerry is not supported by all carriers.

Secondly, you MUST have a BlackBerry Data Plan for MMS to function correctly on a BlackBerry.

This is two-part, first, a BlackBerry Data Plan will include a service book for MMS. Second, MMS messages are sent over data channels, not voice channels (as with SMS).

If you don't have MMS as an option for composing, then you don't have the MMS service book(s). If you don't have the service book(s), then you don't have a BlackBerry Data Plan or your carrier doesn't support MMS for BlackBerry.

If you call Sprint and explain that you're interested in MMS they can tell you about there data services and how the MMS works with them. Each carrier is different, give them a call they can help you out and get you setup.

The Sprint 8703e does not support MMS. A feature I miss...
