    Went back to 8700g

Just switched from my beloved 7290 back to an 8700g. I traded a used Moto Razr (V3) to my son for his 8700g, and data transferred over. It's a nice little critter. The only thing I didn't tell my son is that I could sell the 8700 on Ebay and buy 3 of them little V3s with the proceeds, but as long as he's happy with his new Moto I won't say anything. Adult children are a blast!
I'll probably use this new BB for about a month before I drift back to my 7290 - - -

Probably because the 8700 is 3 times the device as the v3. I could not see myself ever going backwards in BB models, but that's me.

I could regress in BB models, simply because I'm a tall, big guy and they keyboards on the older "calculator" BBs are perfect for my big fingers. Also, the difference between the PIM and Data capabilities between older and newer Berrys is not that different; and older BlackBerrys are much faster than newer ones. I disagree about the 8700g being three times the device as V3 -- I think it's closer to 6.

    Re: Went back to 8700g

I once had a 7290, great first BB. Then I look into and got me a 8700g, loved it. Had the seidio extended batt 2400 or 2600mAh and nice fortte case. Then I got the wife a 8800, but she didnt want it (hmmm), so I swapped and used the 8800 and put my 8700g up for "backup" use. Little did I know that shortly after the warranty expired, my 8800 bonks out-the charger slot piece that hooks to the wall charger broke off. So went back to my 8700 which was ready for duty as always!!! Thought about getting me another 8800, but why....

Nice yeah I picked up a 8320 from my cousin and was all amazed but I had a drunken night and dropped it in the toilet so I had to regress and go to my closet and get out the 8700 I decided after a week and a half of using my 8700 again that this is the bb ment for me I do miss the media player thought but I'm happy might even wait alittle bit longer to get another 8320
