I have gone thru 4 Treo's each of them had some sort of software issue. Treo is too much trouble.... I have a small camera i can carry if i want to take a picture of something. Not really a big loss not having a camera on a BB

I don't mind not having a camera. I don't take that many pictures anyway. An MP3 player WOULD be nice so I don't have to lug my mp3 player and my BB when I travel. And extra storage via memory card to store my music on when I don't want it on the blackberry.

I had a treo 650 prior to my 7520. It was a great 600 dollar phone for about three months until the screen got plasma burn (the entire screen eventually turned bright orange). They would not replace or repair the phone. I now have my BB and have not had any problems!

The BB 8700c seems to be more user friendly vs. the treo 650. I don't care for the camera (there mostly crappy 1.3 megapixels anyways). the BB 8700c has a faster response time vs. the treo 650 (at least when i tested them).

I am a convert and have never been happier. Only thing I miss is the MP3 player on the treo.
I was thinking of taping my Nano to the blackberry. :-)

I have gone thru 3 treos, and each time the hardware fail on me after 6 months of usage not to mention countless of reboots. So far my 8700g is quite impressive and not once it freezes on me.

If and that is a big if, Palm could fix the stability of the hardware and software interface for 3rd party apps, then you would see more people staying with their 650s. Unfortunately, Palm takes little interest in that and therefore you get devices that crash faster than a test dummy in new cars...
The 650, along with E61 and the various WM5 devices are all good devices...all comes down to personal preference...trying doing a comparison at phonescoop.com and see the relative strengths and weaknesses of each...

W/O a shadow of a doubt the BB8700 is my choice, over the Treo 650.

I'll add my two cents on this....I just got a BB8700 but I used to have a Treo 650 for over a year and before that a Treo 600. My biggest regret since I got the 8700? Why didn't I ever chose a BB in the first place.

Hi all, new here. I have been a avid treo user for years until i was ready to upgrade in december 05. i ordered 4 different 650 treos and sent them all back. too many problems. I own and 8700 for personal use on weekends and have a work 5720. I guess im a true crackberry user.

Absolutely the 8700. More stable OS, outstanding functionality with BES and BIS. Does the job less the gimicky digicam, etc.
