Thinking about buying a BB 8700g

Hey everyone, Im new to the board and let me say, this forum seems very informative and helpful. I currently have a Sidekick 3 but I've been thinking about getting my hands on a Blackberry 8700 from T-Mobile. Sidekick 3 just seems so childish now for me. I'm just wondering if the BB is really all that much better than the Sidekick 3.
    Thanks in advance.

Hey PG13, welcome to Pinstack... Yea the 8700 Sidekicks the SK3 to the curb.... Totally different world from a SK... You will be kicking yourself for not getting a 8700 sooner

WGats Up Pg. Welcome to Pinstack.com I suggest you get that 8700g. I got it about 3 weeks ago and thought at first I was making a mistake, but I must say it is worth every penny. It has way more capabilities and options than your standard gsm phone. Do your research and make your investment cause it's well worth it. Welcome Again

Do oo oo oo IT. I'm biased cos I use one, but I think the 8700g is the best of the BBs which are in turn the best of the integrated comms devices. End of story.....

    pg13, Welcome to PinStack.

Let us know what you decide. Only you can make the decision. The 8700 is an excellent communication tool, but it doesn't have all the Bells and whistles that some smartphones have. I have one and I will probably not change from BB devices for a long time.

i say get it i thought i would want an sk3 before but i got a blackberry and i never will turn back the only thing that the blackberry really doesnt have is the camera feature but it really doesnt make a difference because you can go to target or walmart and buy a cheap 2mp camera...trust me the 8700 is the all around best

Hmm, I would add something but it would pretty much echo what Rcbjr said...

...and one of the 8800's will have a camera.

Thanks for the responses, they have been great. I'm currently in the works of getting the BB and selling the SK3. just one quick question, is the browser in the BB faster than the SK3?

Assuming that your like me, I was on the market for a smartphone, and since all my friends have sk's I thought I'd like one, but after playing with it, I realized how lame they are. I picked up my 8700 (from tmo) and I can't put it down. 3 of my friend are now bb owners (2 pearls and a 8700) and others are wait for their contracts to end...I would suggest you wait for the 8800 though...damn thing is sexy.
