Smile Separating Exchange emails from mobile email ones

    Hi,

I own a 8700v (v4.10.258, Spain, Vodafone) and I usually receive mails sent to my Exchange account via a BES server. Recently I configured a personal account with the Mobile Email utility and, as expected, a new icon on the desktop appears with the name of that account. From there, I can receive and send emails using that account. Up to here, normal and expected behaviour. But I've found out that incoming personal emails are *also* delivered where the normal Exchange mails are delivered, so I have 2 copies of the messages. Moreover, if I delete one of those messages from the normal messages window, gets deleted too at the mobile email account window.

How can I get personal emails delivered only to the mobile email account window? Hope I've been able to explain myself well enough.

Yes, this has been discussed many times. Sorry to say it will show in 'both' places. I suggest you hide the icon for the personal email - like most of us here do...

Ok... RIM should try to deal with this, sincerely. Thanks for the hint.

...well, it only started with the newer OS, so I can't see them changing it anytime soon. And to be honest, once you hide the icon you really have nothing to worry about...

    rubenc, Welcome to PinStack.

Actually, it's easily explained how this works. See the explanation in my post Understanding Multiple Mail App Icons (BIS 2.x).

    Hope this helps
