hahaah, that my friend isnt a PROBLEM, it's a FEATURE..lol

in really bright light the screen will be using its full power, and wen the ambient lighting goes darker, the light will automactiaclly dim

Is there a way to switch that option off? Don't get me wrong it's cool, I like it when the keys light up when you hit a dark area but I would like my screen to stay at full power..

    yes of course you can.
direct yourself into the "options" menu>>>select "screen/keyboard">>>and set "automatic backlight" to the OFF setting.

Tried it but didn't like it, it leaves the keys on, isn't there a way to just turn off the screen auto light and leave the keyboard auto light on?

no there isnt, both the keyboard and the backlight work in co-ordination with each other

Oh well, I will just leave it on it's a good power saver, also I just got the Motorola HS850 Bluetooth, works pretty good, but sometimes I hear clicks in the reception, is that normal? or just another feature LOL... This phone doesn't have voice answer does it?

umm..im not to sure as to wut u mean by "clicks in the reception", but i DO know that wen the phone is out of service, the bluetooth earpiece will be beep every few seconds or so until service restores.

i dunno if that is wut ur experiencing, but take not as to wen it happens, and see if that's ur problem.

    ~via BB (wap.pinstack.com)~
Whoa, that's weird. Did u try and reset ur blackbeery to see if that fixes anything?
Oh and to answer ur previous questions as to if the 8700 offers "voice answering", that answer is unfortunately no.

you can press the top left button on the blackberry and force the brightness
there are three settings, off, medium and high
this is the button on the TOP of the BB
found that by accident one day...
the nice thing is that you can set the brighness for that 'session' after you stop using the BB is goes back to the old automatic settings, which is good for battery use
might also suggest BBLight as it will give you greater control over when and how BB backlights are used.
    hope that helps
