    Red LED = dead?

    Hello all

My 8700 just turned itself off whilst conencted to my PC, and now won't switch back on. The red LED is constantly on when the battery is in, or if the device is connected to my PC. Desktop Manager won't recognise it at all so I can't reinstall the firmware. I think I know the answer already, but is there anything I can do?

    Cheers
    (a very frustrated) Dom

have you removed the battery for a few minutes and just let the device sit?

Hello Dom and Welcome to the Stacks. Let us know if the battery pull works. If not, we'll find another solution.

~via BB (wap.pinstack.com)~pull battery and hold down power button for 1 minute to dissapate all charge.
