Are you able to save documents on your Blackberry - such as a resume or a spread sheet - so that you can attach it to an outgoing email?

    Re: Quick Question

    Hi jjones,

I have tried to save actual Excel spreadsheets and Word documents in the phone by clicking on the trackwheel during viewing but that usually controls the actual document itself, and does not allow an optin for saving.

The documents are almost always sent to me via e-mail anyway (or I send them t myself via e-mail) and I just move the message to my saved file on the BB. The documents always stay attached to the messages in the saved folder.

Then, if need be, you can just forward the saved email that you have to the recipient.

Yep, alexpataffio is right! Saving of the documents is not an option. What you could do is save the email, or start a forward of the email, delete the respective text, and address, then save it as a draft - for later use...

Aside from the 8100 (perhaps, I don't know for sure), there is no way to do what you want with native BB software alone.

Dynoplex's eOffice may do what you want, but that's a paid app.

Sending to yourself as an Email and then saving is what I do. Then if need be I cut and paste from that the info I need to send on to someone.

Yes, this can be done with the 8100 natively.
When OS 4.2 comes out for the 8700 and 7130, its presumable that thos models will also have this capability.
