    Question on wiping data...

Selling the 8700c--need advice on wiping data....

Will a wipe include any third party apps/software (and Pinstack link!) or just personal data: contacts, calendar, todo, email, etc?

Also anyone interested in this moderately used but oh-so-fabulous 8700c (left her for the Pearl)?

Wiping your BB will remove your address book contacts, calendar information, memo pad entries, and task entries. Your bookmarks, etc on your browser will also be wiped as well. Ota apps will be wiped. I had purchased some third party apps and they still showed up on
    After the wipe.

Don't forget to de-integrate your BIS accounts and then have your carrier kill your BIS account (unless you migrated it to your new BB).

You can also find the JL Commander right here: http://blackberryforums.pinstack.com...d=5&linkid=452

However, if you go this route, you'll have to reload the Operating System and any apps you want to leave on the BB since this is a complete and total wipe of the device.

    Re: Question on wiping data...

So by wiping, it will do the below mentioned things. Without using the special program that's listed in this thread, if I do a normal wipe, it will leave all of my carrier-specific OS and settings on the device??

Not sure it matters, because BB is a BB, but I have a 7250 that I'd like to clear before I sell, but want to make sure it's okay for buyer to activate. I just don't want to ruin it.

Thanks in advance for your help.
