    phone disconnects

    Hello,

When ever my boss gets a large e-mail with an attachment, and he's on the phone, it disconnects the phone call to grab the e-mail.

Is this a supposed to happen, or did he change some setting somewhere?

It's on a BES server through cingular. Don't know if that'll help any or not

Not suppose to happen; very strange. Did it just start to do this? Try resetting the device - 'taking the battery out while it's on'...

Definitely not supposed to happen, does it happen each time he gets a large email?

It is not suppose to happen because the phone service and the email a.k.a data operate under different frequency's he may have it set up to interrupt the call through his bes settings due to the urgency of some messages

    Hello,

None of the settings on the BES side are custom... AKA, the permissions that were set were just the default ones. They are locking them down or anything like that.

I'll look through our BES in the morning, but this is not supposed to happen. With our BB's the email waits to come in until the call is finished. I'll test with a fairly large attachment as well.

Thanks for everyones help (yet again) on this one....

I love the 8700... but some of the stuff is just plain annoying.... My two latest ones, are this problem, and my other problem is, that it doesn't sync with all the folders with e-mails... it just grabs the folder names, not the e-mail in them..

If you have subfolders there will be no emails synced to those subfolders. The folders are there just for storage of messages when they get to your BB. Is that what you mean?

    well..

On the primary problem, it just keep disconnecting while getting a large e-mail.

The secondary problem is that his outlook has, folders in it with e-mails in them. When it syncs... It only gets the folders not the e-mails in them. Even if they are new ones, from what I understand that's the way it's supposed to be. It's just annoying.
