    BAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

I have done this before and cant remember how I fixed it.

I have to actually hit the power button now to actually get the screen to light up. Trackwheel moving and key pressing won't do it.

Someone please refresh my memory on what I did.

Is your automatic backlight set to OFF?

I've searched and can't find how this happened to you. Did you try the BP?? (Battery Pull)?

Yeah...tried all that. I can't remember what it is that causes this. I think somehow I hit a series of shortcuts...If it keeps up, I will just nix the OS and reinstall...Blah...

Do you have PocketDay or other utility program running that might interfere with the 8700's Backlight settings?

I'm stumped and hope this doesn't happen to me. Good luck Nate.
