    OZ Messenger Problem

I'm using an 8700g through T-mobile. Ever since I upgraded to 4.2 (Vodaphone version that works with Opera), I get an error message when I try to start OZ messenger. The message is:

Error starting Blackberry_8700_4$2ef$2e10_i_TMO_4IM: Symbol "UiApplication.pushModalGlobalScreen" not found.

How can I fix this so I can use the messenger? I tried reinstalling the application but this didn't work.

I get the same error. So I use JiveTalk instead. OZ isn't really instant. It's known to lag

Yeah this is because the OZ instant messanger on the 8700 you have is based for the 4.1 s/w not the 4.2. You have to find 4.2 OZ instant messanger.cod or PAY for jivetalk.

Maybe the OZ for the 8800 will work.

How would I find it for 4.2 if that's what I'd have to do to make it work?

    Re: OZ Messenger Problem

The OZ chat client really just sucks. Here's why

    1. Uses SMS to communicate and charges each line sent and received as an SMS message
    2. Is buggy like hell. Mine never loaded my buddy list and had spontaneous freezes
    3. Due to SMS is also S L O W

Jivetalk is by far #1, Ramble is a distant second and free
