    Outlook Invitations

    Hello all,

New user here. First ever BB, and am having a bit of trouble getting up to speed.

One issue I am trying to resolve is that I cannot read or accept appointment invitations sent through Outlook. I work in a small business and we do not have the enterprise server, so we email appointment invitations around. I would think that the BB would be able to at least open those appointments to view them, and should automatically add them to my calendar.

    Can anyone help out?

    Thanks.

As far as i'm aware. What you mention is not possible without BES. You would have to email the appointments as regular mail and not in the appointment format.

Alternative you can all share Google Calendar and use software such as GCALSYNC this has obvious disadvantages.

Hope I got the question ok & welcome to pinstack

BES is definitely needed for meeting requests. If your company can't or won't pay for BES or BES Express, there's also the option of hosted BES.

Is there anyway to at least view the appointment requests when they come through?

Right now when i try to open it just says "Unsupported media type in header"

As a work around, I use Google calendars and when setting up an appointment/event, I invite my BB address. It sends both plain email and vCal. This way I can at least read the scheduled event on my BB and manually enter it into the BB calendar.
